JJ here, also known as Joyce in my former life, before I arrived to Desert Haven Animal Refuge. I have this beautiful gray coat of fur with speckles of dusty pink. I'm truly beautiful, though very modest. You see, I'm genuinely shy, so I don't let the humans get very close to me to see my gorgeous coloring. Actually, I've always been a bit of a fraidy cat when it comes to humans. Was it something from my childhood that made me a little fearful? I don't know as I don't remember much from my time before Desert Haven. But what I do remember is the nice people here providing what I need: good health, good food, a safe and warm place to live and sleep, and fur-friends so I can hang out with pals. I have a notched ear which indicates I've been spayed, no babies for me! I will need a very patient human to love me through and through, no matter how much, or really, how little, interaction I can allow. But I would like a family and a home indoors.
