Jeffrey was rescued by a colony caretaker who saw the potential of a handsome young cat that should not be left to a life outdoors, where his wellbeing is under constant threat from disease, fighting and predation. Jeffrey responded well to indoor living and blossomed under his foster’s loving care. He is a work-in-progress when it comes to being handled, as being picked up can still be a scary prospect. A common trait amongst cats that have lived outdoors. His foster mom has worked diligently to minimize this fear, and small steps toward that goal were taken every day.

Jeffrey is a handsome boy with super gorgeous eyes and a sweet, playful, friendly and adventurous personality. His downy soft fur coat is a lovely shade of charcoal grey that hints at tabby stripes under certain light and angle, quite unique and fitting for this princeling of a cat.

Jeffrey enjoys head and chin scratches and will approach to sit beside his person to receive such. Giving him the space and freedom to come and seek affection from you is the best way to put this sweet but at times skittish kitty at ease, so he can take his time marking you with his scent and claiming you as his own.

He lives for playing and loves all kinds of toys, and he is often the one to initiate playtime with his kitty friends. Jeffrey is very active and curious. This adorable boy easily masters the ins and outs of a new toy and is always ready to explore new ones. His preferred activities are playing with his kitty friends, tossing in the air catnip mice or playing with those wand toys that he can chase tirelessly.

Jeffrey loves wet food and devours creamy tube treats. He loves window perches, tall cat trees and sunny window spots which enable him to watch the outdoor life unfold.

While in foster, Jeffrey has made many kitty friends, chief amongst them is Jack, a handsome, chill tabby cat who is also looking for a home. But Jack is older than Jeffrey and not as frisky in play style. Since Jeffrey definitely needs a cat buddy in his forever home, he is wishing for a young, friendly and playful kitty (like a young Jack!) who is wanting a play and cuddle buddy.

Understanding that Jeffrey needs a lot of patience and time to adjust to new environments, people and cats, his new family can expect this cute boy to be timid at first. As with his foster mom, Jeffrey blossomed under her persistent, soft approaches, and he will respond similarly in his new home if his family continues the devotion to engage him fully. The rewarding bond with this little prince will be soul gratifying, and Jeffrey would be so grateful for finally having a family of loving people to belong to.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
