Jazmine is a front declawed 10y Russian Blue mix girl who was given up due to allergies? After 10y of loyalty and love? Her previous home describes her as independent because she likes to sleep or look out the window. Was she invited to bed? Rather think not. But when you're home she tends to be in the same room and was kept indoors only. In typical catlike fashion she likes balls, stuffed toys, and catnip toys. She slept on either the couch or her cat cushion. She eats dry food but we are looking to change that. She is purrfectly litter box trained and uses a hooded box with clumping litter. Because she is declawed:(, she does not scratch. She was doing poorly in the shelter having just lost her home so we decided to try and make her happy. All our cats are in the NY area and can be adopted out of state. We do like to meet you so plan on picking up; if flying, in cabin only; in some cases we will help with transport.

Please note: kittens MUST be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we are happy to recommend cats who would do best as solos. Cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/Felv tested, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.

Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can perhaps foster, volunteer, and of course, you can always donate!
