Meet Jay & Downy (Bonded Pair)

Jay and Downy are 11-month-old brothers looking for their forever home together!

They were live trapped from under a deck and hadn't known people prior to that, so they are a little more cautious in getting to know new people. Once they know you, they are lap- or snooze-beside-you boys, anxious to be a part of their foster's movements around the house.

Both are outgoing and playful with each other, alone, or with their foster.

They love to bird and squirrel watch from the 4 season porch cat tree, play with toys, chase each other, and help their foster in the kitchen and laundry room. Jay likes to walk in front of you since he 'knows' what your next job is! Downy just comes along.

Jay and Downy start their day with a hearty breakfast! The boys have separate glass or metal bowls (washed daily) which can be next to each other, although Downy likes to finish first and have some of his brother's food. Then they move around the house, checking where the toys are, looking out the windows, napping, and playing with their foster when invited to. They both have a medium energy level.

They will take a while to get used to a new home and new people. Jay is braver and comes to meet new folks faster than Downy. They would likely not do well around children. Jay would adjust to a respectful, cat-friendly dog; Downy would be very hesitant.

They are eating Hills Gastrointestinal Biome. They eat 3 meals a day (a scant 1/4 c each time) with canned food added to one of those meals. If free fed, Downy will quickly become obese with his brother following along in time - obesity is a serious health risk for cats. When adopted, they will come with a generous supply of food.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
