Jason Mendoza s a living example of everything that's awesome about cats: he's fuzzy and loves to cuddle, and at the same time, he's an extraordinary, athletic hunter like his wild cat ancestors. Jason is curious and loves to explore, and he's a homebody who wants nothing more than to curl up on the sofa with you. He's really got it all!

We found Jason hanging out on our street, and he immediately ran up looking for love, attention, and, most importantly, FOOD! He's very food-driven and is always looking forward to that next treat or meal. He's a house cat from head to toebeans, but was abandoned by his previous owners and left to fend for himself on the streets. This means he's a skilled hunter (we've witnessed him capture a lantern fly and a mouse!) and a skilled scavenger (he WILL bust into that bag of cat food if he thinks mealtime is tardy, so keep it out of reach!).

As soon as we let him into our home, he became an instant lap cat. He loves to be pet and cuddled; he accepts hugs and kisses like no other cat -- in fact, he demands it! He loves humans and will greet any person who walks into the room with meows to ask where they've been and why they haven't been petting him.
Right now, he's a little needy in the amount of attention he craves, but we have the feeling he'll mellow out a little after he settles into a home and feels secure in the knowledge that he won't be abandoned again. Whoever takes him in is in for a real treat -- this little guy has an abundance of love to give. Will that lucky furrever friend be you?

Jason Mendoza is around 2 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
