Meet Jasmine
Jasmine needs an adopter urgently. She was diagnosed with multiple liver shunts at the age of 9 months. This means that several blood vessels are failing to bring fresh blood to her liver, causing a build up of toxins with associated neurological damage. Now at 5 years old, she has difficulty walking, tremors, and is mostly blind. This doesn't keep her down, though. She can still jump up on the bed to seek affection from her human.
Her condition has been managed with a low protein diet (i.e. kidney diet) and oral medications. She has other issues too, most notably a heart murmur. She urgently needs a foster who can monitor her closely for subtle changes which mean that a vet visit or an adjustment to medications is required. A retiree or someone who works from home could be ideal for her.
Please consider helping this sweet girl. Her life expectancy has been shortened significantly by this unfortunate condition, but a caring adopter could provide her with many months of quality living which she otherwise wouldn't have.
