Jario's Story
Jario is a good eater and he is finally filling in, he is getting high quality foods like my perfect pet cooked food, Raised Right cooked food for cats, lotus just juicy and Rawz dry food which he gets a little of as an overnight meal at the foster. He loves his meals - he is a tall boy and he was having difficulty crouching and eating so the foster got him an elevated food bowl and water bowl and he loves them. - he is so happy at his meal time. He has a fabulous appetite. Because he is so tall and lanky the foster also recommends that the new adopters get him a high sided XL litter box - he is a very neat boy when he uses his litter box. While he is sociable he is still skittish and gets overly stimulated even after he plays. This results in "attacks" with paws and teeth which is very controllable....he may do very well with another cat that has similar energy that he can communicate and play with. He does not like to be left alone - often seems sad when I have been out all day - this is another reason why he may do well in a home with another kitty close in age and energy level. He does not need people to play with him all the time - he does like to entertain himself with his shoe lace and fishing filament. He also loves his new TALL roped scratching post - he loves to stretch and scratch then stand on top and look at the world around him. He is not into catnip. Jario is quiet at night and does not wake me until he is hungry between 4:30 and 6AM - this is also something that is manageable as he is still acclimating and requires time and patience. He loves to stretch on his own spot on the couch for a little R&R (like Sheldon in the Big Bang theory) - the foster is careful to not abruptly or even gently awaken him when he is sleeping because he does get spooked and will react and scratch out of fear and self defense. He needs a quiet home without loud or rambunctious kids. He is not a cuddler or a lap cat (yet)but he likes to sit near you - he also loves to jump in the wet bath tub after the foster has showered. He also is looking to run out of the apartment - so his new home needs to be cognizant of this and again perhaps having a cat friend with similar energy would be good for him - they can create a little fun together. Overall Jario is the goodest boy with a little butterfly emblem on the back of his head. He is very aware and sensitive - sweet and slightly unsure - you need to earn his trust. He will bring a lifetime of love, joy and a little judgement to any home that is lucky enough to adopt this SMART, communicative lanky long legged good boy.
