Janny is an energetic 1 year old cat looking for her forever home!

Janny is a clever and inquisitive feline, always curious about new people and places. She is incredibly smart, learning new routines and habits with ease. Always eager to meet visitors or inspect whatever comes through the door, Janny is happy to be the center of attention in the household. She responds to her name and is highly motivated by food and treats.

Every day Janny wakes up excited to play and watch her people go about their day. If she decides that it's time to play, she will pick up her favorite toy and drop it right at your feet. In the late afternoon, she makes her way over to the sun-soaked couch for some much-needed rest after a long day of playing. She loves daily household routines, and will accompany her person as they complete their tasks - especially if those tasks involve food! While she doesn't particularly enjoy snuggling on people's laps, she will always cuddle up and sleep within arms reach while you work or watch TV. Chin scratches and head rubs are always welcome.

Janny is a highly energetic cat and has high social needs. Sometimes she will self-initiate play with kicker toys, cat trees, or other toys, but she loves when people engage her with wand toys or throw balls to chase after. She is harness trained and will happily go on exploratory walks down the apartment hallways, and doesn't shy away from other people or animals she sees while adventuring. During chores she is always a few steps behind, sniffing at anything new or curious as she goes.

Currently, Janny lives in an apartment with one person who has infrequent visitors. However, Janny is not suited for apartment living. She would do best in a larger home, with ample space to run and explore. Multiple people to interact with within a given day would be a plus.

When Janny gets excited during playtime, she may become overstimulated. An experienced cat owner who can spot signs of overstimulation and respect Janny's boundaries would be best. With consistent boundaries, Janny can learn household rules and expectations.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
