This gorgeous elder statesman was surrendered when his owner’s health declined. Since then, he’s been a regal resident, eagerly awaiting his next mansion. He’s about 14 lbs., has specks of orange and tabby, is up to date on his vaccines, and is neutered. Mr. President James Madison spends every night he can sleeping next to his foster or on top of her. He is a cuddler and a lover. It took him some time to get used to the change from his long-time owner, but he’s showing his personality, and she is so happy to host him. Her favorite story is the first time he came onto the bed (after a bit of hiding) and found a comfy spot on her shoulder so they could sleep soundly together. He will bring you this same affection when you bring him home, but it may take some time. James was born in February 2013, so the ideal family will tend to his needs and give him the retirement he deserves. He takes one-half pill each day (for hyperthyroidism) that can be hidden in gravy-heavy wet food. While he hasn’t yet been introduced to other cats, he does want to make friends.
