Meet Jack-o-Lantern
Jack-O-Lantern, (Jack or Jack-O for short), came to us from a family who could no longer keep him due to a conflict with an older child in the home. This older child reportedly did not treat Jack-O-Lantern kindly, and he came in somewhat skittish and preferring to hide out in corners as a result. As he took his time adjusting to the shelter environment, Jack’s confidence grew and grew until he became one of the top cats in the room. Jack-O is 3 years old and weighs about 11 pounds.
Most often Jack-O-Lantern can be found sitting atop the highest perch in the room, surveying the goings-on around him. He enjoys boldly strutting around the room, curiously checking things out and seeking attention from any nearby humans. Jack can be quite the lapcat and loves to get attention from visitors. His distinctive trills show just how content he is to receive love and pets. Despite his earlier treatment, he was reported to get along well with kids and dogs in his previous home, although he can be more picky when it comes to his feline friends. If you’re looking for a brave and sweet addition to your home, Jack-O-Lantern could be just the cat for you!
We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.
The adoption fee is $75 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
