Jack is a rescue from a TNR (trap, neuter return) project we were working on. Jack is now approximately 11 months old and has been in a foster home since he was about 7 weeks old. Jack a sweet boy that is unsure at first, but when given time and assurance he is safe, he is learning to trust. He will need a patient home that is willing to accept that at first he may seek a hiding place until he feels secure enough to interact with his new human. Proper introductions to both a new home, owners and to other furry friends is an investment to making a happy home for all.
Jack is looking for a special home where his new family understands that he does not like to be pet or picked up. In his current foster home, he loves interacting with the other cats, he loves playing with toys, especially wand toys and loves yogurt and will lick if off your finger. He also loves Temptations treats and will take them out of your fingers once he trusts you. But that is as far as he's willing to go right now and needs someone patient and understanding of this who will work with him. He has not been around dogs since he was a small kitten, but we suspect he would do fine with them with a slow introduction. He meets a lot of different cat/kittens in his foster home and has gotten along great with all of them, so if you are looking for a companion for your current kitty, Jack may be your guy.
