Meet Izzy
Izzy - is a 4 year old tiger boy, who has had a tough year. Izzy is adjusting to shelter life. He is initially apprehensive but then when you pet him he warms up and enjoys attention.
He was rescued as a kitten running around a local trailer park. His owner was an elderly lady and last year she had to go to a nursing home. She had several cats and when it came time for the family to retrieve the cats, Izzy was difficult. They scared him so much that he went right through the window screen and then he was outside.
They apparently made no attempt to trap him. He was out there by himself. So he went to the neighbor's porch and the man fed him there for a few months. The neighbor who was feeding Izzy happened to be a previous adopter so he alerted us to the situation. Then he had to go the hospital so another lady came and trapped Izzy and brought him to the shelter.
All he knew was living in the trailer with the old lady and other cats. He sat with her on the sofa and when visitors came he retreated to the bedroom and laid on her bed.
He will be a loving and loyal pet for someone if they have patience and give hi time to adjust.
He is neutered, up to date on shots, FeLV/FIV neg;microchipped.
