Ivan is a handsome black male cat with an estimated DOB of July 1st, 2019. He came to us as a transfer from another shelter and his weight at intake was 8lbs. Did you know that black cats allegedly have a better immune system than most other cats? According to research, it's very likely that cats with black fur have a higher resiliency against illness and are more resistant to diseases like Feline HIV which some folks say that is why they are more friendly than other cats. Folks also say that black cats are frequently very smart. They are savvy to things going on around them. They can be highly responsive and capable of handling change, throughout which, they remain calm, loving, energetic companions. We can't say that any of this is 100 percent true in general however we can say that Ivan is pretty darn awesome and deserves a fabulous new forever home. His adoption fee is $55 and includes a medical exam, sterilization, age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, FeLV testing, and microchip. Be a hero! Adopt!

All cats or kittens at the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter have been tested for FeLV. All offsite cats and kittens are also up to date on their vaccines and have been sterilized. These cats and kittens are also litter box trained and micro chipped. Adopters get a free consultation at an area vet partner within 14 days of adoption. All information known about this cat has been included in this bio. Per state law we sterilize all shelter pets before they begin their new fabulous lives with their new families.

Here's the scoop on the adoption process at Petsmart:

Adoption Questionnaire: Potential adopters will need to fill out the adoption questionnaire. Adoption questionnaires are available on our website or at the meet and greet. Once complete, an Adoption Counselor will review the questionnaire with the potential adopter and will have a discussion to ask and/or answer any additional questions. From there, the adoption counselor will review all appropriate paperwork with the adopter to provide important and and educational information regarding the animal.

Adoption fees: Adoption fees must be paid in full at time of adoption � no partial payments are accepted. Cash, Check or all major credit cards are accepted. Adoption fees vary. Standard cat adoption fee is $50.00. Standard kitten adoption fee is $70.00.
