This is Ilythia, she is a gorgeous 4year Domestic Medium Hair. A Tuxedo kitty with floofy tail, Ilythia is always dressed her best. She has curiously, soulful eyes which can instantly melt your heart,

While we don't know her history, Ilythia was rescued from the shelter where she was with her litter of kittens. Thankfully her litter had been rescued prior, but that left this mamma cat all alone and afraid, locked in a metal kennel. She cowered in her litter box watching through the bars with sadness and mistrust. Louie's Legacy saved her from the shelter and my wife and I have been lucky enough to be her caretakers. Since she has been in our care, we have watched her begin to bloom into the cat that she was always meant to be.

It's pretty clear that Ilythia was not properly socialized with humans prior, she is still nervous and hand-shy, but she is finding out how much she enjoys a good petting. She perks up when she sees us, and is coming over for our affection/attention. She has even started "bunting" (aka head boops). With the right home, she'll be able to blossom and share her love and companionship with you!

Ilythia needs a cat-experienced home with someone who is willing to be patient and continue working on her socialization. So far she is very tolerant of other cats. She is food/treat motivated. which is good with helping her sociability. She's not overly active, but she can't resist chasing a laser pointer. Sometimes she will engage with a stick toy, but she is often content and chill. Ilythia may never be that snuggly, lap-kitty, but with the right environment, she can be a loving companion and likely a good TV buddy. too.

Kittens are very social by nature, so if there is no other cat in the home, our kittens (under one year of age) are adopted in pairs.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, combo tested, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
