Meet Ichabod (aka Iggy, FIV+)

Ichabod (or Iggy) is a 3.5-year-old giant kitten looking for his forever home!

Iggy is VERY talkative. He loves to meow when he’s hungry, excited, bored, surprised, and happy. He also trills to greet you and when he jumps up to his cat tree or on the couch to get cuddles and pets. It’s pretty adorable!

Iggy’s hobbies are eating, sleeping, playing, getting pets, and meowing. He is very food motivated! His foster has done some clicker training with him and thinks he could definitely learn some cool moves if his adopter spends time training him. He’s a smart boy!

When he’s not eating food, he likes to dream about food while sleeping in comfy, high places. He loves to sleep on the top bed of his cat tree, or on a computer chair he stole from one of his humans. He’s also learning to be a cuddler, so he’ll jump up on your lap and nudge your hand for some gentle pets while purring and making loving biscuits on your legs!

Iggy is just like a kitten, except he’s 3.5 years old and weighs 16 pounds! He loves to play. He’ll jump, shoot through tunnels, and somersault to get his favorite wand toys!

He’s currently living in a single-family home with his foster parents and a calm, female cat. He does fine with the resident kitty, but their differing personalities can result in some scuffles.

Since he grew up outside in a cat colony, he’s still learning how to be more gentle when he plays with other cats and how to trust humans. He’s come a long way since being in foster care, but he’ll need someone who can be patient and pick up on his kitty body language.

His ideal home would be large enough for him to run around in and with someone who is home often to play with him. He would likely do well with another kitty buddy to play with, but the other cat will need to be ok with roughhousing.

Although he does have FIV, he can still live a very normal and healthy life. He will just need to be with another cat who shares his status, or with a calm and friendly cat-savvy doggo.
