Meet HUCK (A294043), a handsome 8 year old gray and white fluffy male kitty whose owner could no longer care for him. HUCK is FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. He must be INDOORS ONLY and preferably the ONLY CAT in his new home. FIV typically causes some weakening of the cat's immune system, requiring regular preventative vet care. It only affects cats and cannot be spread to dogs or humans. FIV positive cats can and do live quite normal lives in quality, duration, and happiness. Information is available at the shelter on FIV. HUCK is a bit on the shy side but an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be loved. He would do best with a cat savvy family who is willing and able to give him the love and attention he deserves while allowing him the time it takes to settle into his new home. Could that be you? If so, it's time to put your rescue on! For more information and to set up an appointment to meet the kitties, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654. Huck's adoption fee has been prepaid by a generous donor!
