Honey’s FAQs

What is Roxie's Place, Inc.’s adoption process?

Adopting a kitty is an exciting time for everyone! We know you are eager to bring your new family member home, and we are too! It’s important that we make sure our cats are going to the best homes possible, so we ask for your patience while we go through the following adoption process: Our potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application; to download, please click the button on this page, or email roxiesplaceinc@gmail.com to request one. Application link: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RPCR/Cat Our application requires veterinary and personal references as well as landlord information (if applicable) etc. The full adoption process usually takes about a week depending on the number of applications we have. Please note that we do NOT do same-day adoptions (this means we won’t send a cat home with a potential adopter the same day the application is turned in) Once the application is approved, under most circumstances we will make an appointment with our vet to have your kitty re-checked before pick up. This is to make sure you are provided with an up to date health record, and your new little guy or gal is in optimal health for the transition into your home. We ask that you please bring a plastic pet carrier when you arrive for pick up. The canvas carriers with zippers break easily, so a plastic carrier (large enough for an adult cat) is required. ADOPTION FEE: $100 for kittens, $80 for others (one or two cats) Includes: Spay/Neuter FIV/FELV testing Rabies and Distemper Vaccines Microchip Deworming Flea/Tick treatment
