Meet Holtby
Holtby is a 5 year old fellow who has had a lot go on in his life so far. Holtby came to us as a kitten, and was adopted not long after along with is BFF Ketchikan who he met at the shelter. The 2 cats spent a couple of years happily in a home, but after a baby came to the household, Holtby began to pee inappropriately. Sadly he and Ketchikan were returned to the shelter and have been with us ever since.
Holtby has no medical reasons for his litter box issues. This bad habit was triggered by the stress of a baby in his home, and he continues to behave this way at the shelter, which is also very stressful for him since he gets picked on by other cats. We feel there is a good chance that when Holtby goes into a home where he isn't stressed, he may revert to using the litter box appropriately the way he did for many years.
Holtby and Ketchikan must be adopted together as a pair.
