Holly's Story

Hi, my name is Holly! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Shy at first, sweet, playful
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history with other cats. Would likely be best as the only cat in the home but might be okay with a very slow introduction process.
-Can Live with Dogs: Holly would do best in a home without dogs.
-Can Live with Kids: No thanks, Holly would prefer a home without kids.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes she's been raised as indoor only.
-History of Litter Box Issues: Yes she did have some issues using the litter box in her previous home. This has been ruled out as a medical issue and has been determined to be behavioral due to stress. She will need a low-traffic household and cat-savvy adopter.
-Energy Level: Moderate
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!
Additional Information: Holly is a beautiful, bright-eyed girl with a loving heart and a playful spirit. She’s looking for a quiet, low-traffic home with an experienced adopter who can give her the time and understanding she needs to feel secure.

Holly can be a little shy at first and may take a while to adjust to new surroundings, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and social side really shines. She loves gentle pets, cozy spots to relax in, and quality time with her favorite humans.

Don’t let her initial caution fool you — Holly also has a fun, active, and playful side! She enjoys chasing toys, exploring her environment, and showing off her curious nature once she’s at ease.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
