Meet Herschel
Herschel was moments away from euthanasia when a concerned vet contacted us to save him. Seems his owner felt Herschel was just too playful. Otherwise a beautiful and healthy kitty. How could someone be so cruel?
Herschel was in luck that day because we were able to rescue him. This 2-3 year old big ol boy has a beautiful brown coat we haven’t seen very often. But what’s most magical about him are his pale green bedroom eyes. He certainly stands out in a crowd!
We really don’t know where Herschel came from originally, but we’re glad he’s with us now. He’s getting used to things at the shelter which is a far cry from the quiet home he was in. His next stop will be his forever home, this time hopefully packed with kids who will play with him.
He loves rolling over for belly rubs, and he is quite the conversationalist, greeting staff with a mew (or ten) every morning. Staff don't understand how this rotund snuggler could ever be described as "too playful." He is a calm, good-natured boy, who takes all the abuse the more playful cats can offer with a cute roll onto his back. He's really just a big baby!
Herschel is FeLV/FIV negative, up-to-date on vaccines, litter trained, microchipped, dewormed and neutered. If you are interested in adopting Herschel please contact Michelle at 570-759-0920 or michelle@nokillarc.org.
