Henrietta's Story

** Henrietta must be adopted with her brother Jasper as they are closely bonded!**

Henrietta (Henry) is incredibly sweet, spunky, and affectionate. She lets her brother do the initial vetting of strangers, but once you get the approval, she greets your with headbutts or a full-on flop. She adores attention and has a passion for belly rubs. She is a cuddle bug in the making. Incredibly trusting, and completely pliable…when you pick her up and she melts you’re your shoulder.

She has a short, stubby tail that she holds high as she prances around the house with a spring in her step. She is incredibly affectionate and gentle, with the perfect balance of sassiness when she needs it…especially when it comes to keeping her brother in line.

She and her brother Jasper were found together after they were intentionally locked in a cellar for a week. Even at rescue, they were both sweet and gentile, walking right into the carrier with food. The two of themare the perfect pair! They explore the house independently but check in with each other periodically (via meows) if they ever feel too separated.

They are cuddly! Sweet, and playful, they are honestly two of the most affectionate cats I’ve ever met. They are happy to entertain themselves, but the second you walk in the door, they start circling and you in a tornado of affection!

Both get along with other cats and are gentle/patient with children!

Henrietta is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Please fill out an application for Henrietta here: https://www.backyardcatsofbedstuy.com/adoption-application

Backyard Cats of Bed-Stuy's Adoption Policy
I ask that everyone interested in adopting a cat from me starts the application process by filling out my adoption application! The more details you can provide, the better. You can find the app here: https://www.backyardcatsofbedstuy.com/adoption-application Once I've received your application, if I'm interested in moving forward I'll reach out to schedule a Zoom call (or sometimes an in-person meeting, where possible). I often have the foster join as well to talk more specifically about each cat's personality and needs. If the meet-and-greet goes well, and if requested, the potential adopter can arrange a time to meet the cat(s) at their foster homes, or they can start out with a trial "foster-to-adopt" period of one month, to make sure it is a good fit for both cats and humans. A cat isn't considered "fully adopted" until they have been through proper vetting (spayed or neutered, given rabies and FVRCP vaccines, tested for FeLV and FIV, microchipped, and dewormed and treated for fleas). I love to stay in touch with my adopters and often receive updates about their new pets thriving in their forever homes!
