It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


HELENA was living in really bad area in Gardena, California. The independent rescuer was asked to help trap the cats. She trapped HELENA and discovered that she was not feral, but scared and feisty! So she reached out to us and we picked her up. As you can see in her picture, she demands to be treated like a royal!


So HELENA has known the street life for a very short time. We believe she was someone's cat and when she went into heat, they just let her roam. Now the queen is living a nice pampered life. She is loved and spoiled. HELENA loves to be petted. She will tell you all about her day (she's a talker!) Loves her can food!! HELENA is an AMAZINLGY sweet cat!!! But she will probably do best as the QUEEN of her kingdom.


HELENA is DOMESTIC MEDIUM HAIR / EGYPTIAN MAU-TABBY MIX. She is 15 months old and is TOLERANT of other cats cats. She has never been around young children or dogs.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

FEBRUARY 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 5 pm - 8 pm. You can call the Petsmart location and find out what time an evening volunteer will be there. There is a sheet on the cattery door with VISITING HOURS.


The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
