Meet Hawk

Update 2/26/23: Actually, I was mistaken! Hawk is very affectionate. He came down with a little kitty cold a while back and LOVED all the extra attention he received for his little sniffles. That attitude has continued. He loves pets and will even spend some time in your lap. His main buddy, Dodge, has been adopted but Hawk gets along great with all of the cats here at the shelter! It's a mystery why he is still here. My guess is that he's just waiting for his person to come along!

Hawk is a lovely black kitten! He has some scars from what looks to be a dog attack, but his hair is growing back in and we've assured him that chicks do indeed dig scars. He's not super snuggly but he is friendly and outgoing. He's also very playful. Hawk is good buddies with orange kitten Dodge (who IS on the snugglier side) so they'd make a very good balanced pair!

This kitten is current on its vaccinations, but is too young to be spayed/neutered, given their rabies vaccine, or microchipped. For local adopters, that is something we will take care of at our vet clinic. For out-of-town adopters, there is a $100 refundable deposit that will be returned once you show proof of spay/neuter.

To help cover some of our vet costs, our adoption fee is $75. Vet records are provided to adopters. If you are interested in adopting from the Humane Society of West Alabama, please fill out the adoption application at (all adopters must be pre-approved).
