Meet Hammy
Hi, my name is Hammy! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Friendly, confident, talkative, independent, affectionate
-Can Live with Cats: No thanks
-Can Live with Dogs: No thanks
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, respectful kids ages 12+ (up to counselor's discretion)
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes
-History of Litter Box Issues: Yes, but may have been due stress and/or presence of other animals in previous home. Ask staff for more details.
-Energy Level: Low/medium
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
Additional Information: Hammy is a sweet boy that was surrendered to us for not getting along with the animals in his previous home. For this reason, we think Hammy would enjoy being an "only child". Hammy is confident and affectionate, and would make a great companion for someone looking for an ESA animal or just a buddy to keep them company. Hammy is a senior kitty who will need more frequent vet visits to ensure he's happy and healthy. Our veterinarian did some blood work on him and it was determined that he is potentially at risk of developing hyperthyroidism - a manageable condition that's relatively common in senior animals. Ask staff for more details. If you'd like to meet Hammy to see if he's the kitty for you, the first step is filling out an adoption application.
