Meet Gus

Gus, what can we say... he's the ultimate heart-stealer and an old soul. He's seen rough times and carries the scars of his outside struggles. He came to us in semi-rough condition, but mostly sad and forlorn from fending for himself. He's an indoor cat that was never meant to be out there surviving on his own. He is so thankful to be rescued and appreciates everything. He lets you know it too, by greeting you with chubby cheek rubs, then rolls around with delight while you pet him. He's already purring before you start, and even purred at his veterinary exam. He's a major lovebug who will be a very loyal companion. He enjoys napping and watching out the window, but he also loves to play and have fun. He is very excited to have toys and attention. He's very mellow, laid-back and easy-going, just you're all around great cat.
He has some minor flaws that are now part of his charm like his bent ear. It is most likely a defense wound that healed wrong so it seems to be permanently folded forward. He is also Fiv+, so its probably best to home him as an only cat. He is a healthy, stocky, solid boy. He recently had his teeth cleaned to be all nice and spiffy for his new home. We had the vet re-estimate his age at about 6 years old. He is eager to love and be loved. He likes feeling important and warms up quickly to new people. He will thrive with someone who can restore his self confidence and make him part of the family.
