Groot's Story
Meet Groot, a 2-year-old brown tabby boy with energy for days! He has been described as affectionate and playful. He loves to explore, play, and get into a little mischief around the house. Groot is also a chatty boy. If you're looking for an adventurous companion who'll keep you entertained and shower you with love, come meet Groot!

Groot has not gotten along with cats in the past, so he may prefer being the only feline in the home. He has not had a chance to meet dogs or children, but slow and proper introductions are always recommended when bringing new pets home. Ask a staff for tips!

Groot has historically been an easily overstimulated cat who gets stressed easily and would do best in a quiet home. He does not like his belly or feet touched. Going slowly and having patience with him is key as he gets to know you.

Groot's favorite treats are freeze-dried minnows and Churus! If you're looking for a sure-fire way to become his new BFF, a tasty treat will go a long way with this little dude. Come meet Groot today!

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.

**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
