Greta's Story

Greta is a domestic shorthair who was brought into our care along with 6 other young adults as a rescue transfer from another facility in February 2025.
These guys were all apart of a hording case and when they arrived, it was apparent the conditions they were kept in were horrible as all of these poor things were injured and sick. Their group was rescued after the report of neighbors trying to poison all of them as the hoarding case got out of hand. Greta along with the rest of her group were traumatized when they first arrived but staff gave them a safe space to decompress together and eventually they starting gaining their trust back for human encounter.
Greta, while being one of the shyer girls, is an absolute sweetheart! She is actually quite spunky and loves to play and cuddle! Greta does require a very slow approach and introduction to new things as she can be quite skittish so her adopter will need to understand patience in her new home. She LOVES other cats and enjoys a confident feline friend to play with when the humans are away! Greta does have some scarring in her eye we believe is due to a past injury in her previous living conditions but, it doesn't slow her down or affect her in any way!
If you are interested in meeting Greta, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.
