Gregory Domestic Short Hair Mix Minneapolis, MN

Gregory is a 1.5-year-old kitty who has transformed from a scared, skittish little guy to the most curious, playful, loving little boy, ready to find his forever home!

Gregory is very curious and loves to explore! He can still be startled by unexpected loud noises or sudden movements and may take a while to warm up to humans he hasn't spent much time with. Patience is very important since he comes from an undersocialized background, and it's easy for him to feel overwhelmed since he's only just learned how to be a pampered housecat, but oh boy will he reward you for your efforts!

He is quite vocal, with his tiny meows, little squeaks, and breathy sighs, and will let you know when he wants your attention! He also loves strings/shoelaces and should be supervised anywhere he could find a loose power cord to be sure he doesn't decide it's a toy! He's such a silly boy and makes his foster mom laugh with his antics on the daily.

This handsome boy loves boxes and will chase the heck out of a catnip mouse when the mood strikes! He quite enjoys his cardboard scratchers and would appreciate a generous sprinkling of catnip on them now and then. He also enjoys sitting in windows and following foster mom around to see what life is like as a people. He likes to have safe spots to hide and soft blankets or beds on which to fulfill his arduous daily task of napping.

Gregory is generally a pretty chill boy and is content to nap near his human while they work, as long as he gets at least one good bout of playtime in! Sometimes he gets the zoomies and will kindly request that you observe how speedy he can be! Otherwise, he's happy to walk around and explore quietly. He likes to receive a wet food offering in the afternoon and will reward you with squeaks and leg rubs.

Gregory currently lives in an otherwise pet-free, child-free, one-bedroom apartment with his foster mom. He spends his time alone in his safe decompression room but gets to wander the house when mom is home to make sure he only gets into the good kind of mischief.

Gregory's ideal home is first and foremost, a home with people who understand he comes from a difficult past and is willing to give him the time and patience needed so that he can trust. Once he does, he's the sweetest, most affectionate little boy!

He would love a home with adults/older, cat savvy children who give him lots of love but understand his cues that he needs some space or wants to play instead. He would also benefit from a routine. He would love a place with windows he can sit in, and space to explore.

Knowledge of cat body language will be important, and Gregory is still on sensitive tummy food (not a prescription variety).

He's opened up so much since his intake. Not only does he allow touch now, but he actively seeks out attention and affection, enjoys gentle kisses to his tiny forehead, will occasionally permit a quick belly rub, and is starting to let his foster mom pick him up and give him hugs! He is without a doubt the sweetest little boy, and it just goes to show that patience and love make an incredible difference!

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
