Meet Goldie
Goldie was found as a stray and took some time to decompress and get out of "survival mode". She still isn't a fan of being picked up or handled too much, but she loves to get and give lots of pets and love! She enjoys sitting in laps and being petted and rubbing her cheeks on you, furniture or anything she loves! She likes to give love bites when she gets excited, but we are working with her to redirect her bites to something more appropriate, like a toy.
Goldie is a bit shy at first, but earn her trust and she'll be a loyal and loving companion! She can be a little skittish at fast movements or weird noises, so a calm home would be best for her to settle in quickly. She would likely do best in a home with no small children.
She likes other kitties, but has a bit of a jealous streak, where she may try to "protect" her position in a lap or on the couch next to her human if another kitty gets too close. She isn't too aggressive, but will swat and hiss a little bit. A calm, laid back kitty that doesn't get his/her feelings hurt would be a good kitty companion for her. She has been around dogs and would do fine as long as the dogs are calm and respectful of her space.
We have seen Goldie blossom over the last few months and her purrsonality is starting to shine, just as her name might suggest! If you have the patience and love to give this sweet girl, we know she will make it all worth it for you!
