Meet Goldie

GOLDIE is a sweet little tortie who's young at heart. She's about 6 years old, but she's a very small cat and seems younger than she really is. She loves to race around the house like a kitten and has learned how to play! Once Goldie develops her trust with you and feels safe, her unique personality shines through and she will come to you when being called. She's very affectionate and will rub her head against her foster mom. She's got quite an unusual vocabulary, including a hum that seems to be her purr and a click. Goldie was brought to our cat rescue group after a life of being neglected outside, and she has really taken to living indoors. She's a sweet girl who would do well in a quiet home where she can take her time to feel safe.

Goldie has tested positive for FIV (the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but she is a healthy kitty and will likely have a normal lifespan as an INDOOR-ONLY cat. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Goldie has almost no teeth left so the risk of a bite wound, the primary way FIV would be transmitted is almost none. She can be adopted as the only kitty to an adoring home where she will be given a lot of attention or could co-exist with another mellow, friendly cat after a proper introduction. Are you that special someone willing to give Goldie a loving forever home?

Goldie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV, has had a complete dental, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Goldie in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy at either Eugene PetSmart location. A volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2011-C0776
