Meet Gingersnap & Molasses (Bonded Pair)

Gingersnap (Ginger) and Molasses (Mo) are sisters and best friends and looking for their forever home together. Besides being 100% adorable, they are friendly and love people. They are used to lots of attention and affection and would like to be in a forever home where they get that too.

Both are quiet; it’s rare to hear either meow, even when one is trapped in a closet or cupboard. They will just patiently wait until someone lets them out.

They don’t just nonchalantly greet their foster mom at the door, they race to the door. Ginger will immediately roll over for tummy rubs and Mo will rub against her legs. They both love pets.

They are both quite active and curious. They want to inspect inside any drawer or door that gets opened. They are interested in water and Ginger will even jump in the shower sometimes. Ginger is the more energetic of the two. Mo loves snoozing.

They enjoy playing hide and pounce with box and tunnel forts. Their favorite toy is the Concealed Electronic Motion Cat Toy. They like to chase balls, the laser and each other. They like feather toys and wand toys. Pretty much if it moves, they will play with it. They even chase the vacuum sometimes.

They are quite sweet and gentle. They groom each other several times a day and are often found in a kitty ball, napping together.

This inseparable pair are thriving and happy. However, their blood work shows an elevated white blood cell count and they have enlarged lymph nodes. They have visited a specialist, gone through testing and appear healthy in every other way. They are FIV and FELV free. It’s possible the high white blood count is an indication of an issue that may present at a later time. Or this may be the normal state for them. An adopter needs to be prepared, financially and emotionally to care for them if a health issue does come up. Ginger has a pea-sized hernia that should be watched and has had some mild upper respiratory infections that have resolved with antibiotics.

They have not been exposed to dogs or children so that is unknown. They would likely do great with older children. If you have additional questions or would like to meet the sisters, complete an application and we will contact you.
