Meet Ginger and Barsky

If you’re looking for an adorable duo to brighten your day and keep you in laughs, look no further!
Ginger and Barsky are a bonded pair who were surrendered to a local kill shelter, without much detail on their background. Rescued by Empty Cages Collective, and placed in a loving foster home, the pair is re-establishing trust and waiting for their forever family to find them!

Ginger is one of the cutest cats you’ll ever see, with his beautiful orange and white coat and a big luxurious tail. He is quite the character, and though he took a couple of hours to open up in his new foster home, he no longer hesitates to approach his people, open his mouth, and give you a piece of his mind. His meow is resounding and adorable, and he will treat you to some yodeling when he hears a can opens! He is a young boy who likes plenty of attention and playtime. He loves chasing a bit of string around the room, and he loves to join in on board games when there are dice involved. He will certainly let you know if he is in need of more pets, and he always has a soft purr to offer! After a good, tiring play session, Ginger will happily cuddle up at the foot of the bed to enjoy a good night’s sleep. He is a sweet, playful, curious little guy.

Barsky is a very shy boy, but his cute little nose is difficult to resist. That little white snip on his face makes him a bonafide cutie. He relies on his brother a lot for emotional support and will follow his lead in exploration and playtime. He is a sweet, docile, kitty who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but he sometimes loses confidence in himself and therefore takes a while to acclimate to new people and a new environment. He has started to have fun exploring his foster home, climbing up on the cat tower and chasing his brother around on the floor. He is hoping to find a home with his brother with people who are willing to take it slow, and give him the time he needs to trust again. After a few days in his foster home, Barsky began to warm up to his surroundings, and he now lies comfortably on the bed for gentle petting sessions. He has even started offering a gentle purr! His brother gives him a lot of comfort and confidence, so they have to be adopted as a bonded pair.

The boys are tidy and consistent with their litter box, and do very well with other cats, after a careful introduction. They like to vocalize when they are excited, but they easily calm down when it is bedtime. The boys are healthy, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
