Ginger showed up at a colony in the city. She strolled right up to the caretaker to be pet, so clearly, she had been someone's pet. Also, she wasn't spayed, so someone clearly hadn't done right by her. Thankfully we were able to take her in and get her taken care of. with a patient introduction to her forever home and family, Ginger really enjoys and needs the company of other kitties. In fact, she almost immediately developed a "relationship" with another kitty at our adoption center, Charlie. Other kitties help bring Ginger out of her shell, as her inclination is otherwise to hide. While Ginger is a shy girl, once she's warmed up to you she loves to get petted, and will eat out of your hand (literally) and she loves to play with any cat toys, rolled-up paper, strings, you name it. She would not do well in a busy house and does not do well with dogs. If you have a quieter home and another friendly kitty or two, we are sure she will blossom into a wonderful little house cat.
