Meet Gilligan

GILLIGAN is a loving and sweet brown tabby boy with big, round eyes, about 4 months old. Gilligan is friendly and affectionate with his person once he gets settled in his new surroundings and feels safe. He seeks out human attention and enjoys being held, in laps and getting pets. He's often the first to greet his foster mom when she walks in the door , and even calls out to her through the door when he knows she's coming! Gilligan loves to play with his siblings, small toys like balls and mice, and dangly toys that he can chase through the air. When he's finished playing, he likes to curl up in a lap or close by his human friends for scritches and pets. His siblings are important to him; he must have another playful young feline friend in his new home. He is not good with change or surprises, but with a predictable and calm environment he will be a loyal and loving kitty companion. Gilligan gets along fine with a calm, 50 lb lab/GSD mix resident dog. He would do best with a calm, respectful dog -- again, slow and patient introductions will be important. Gilligan is a special kitty -- it has been so rewarding to see him open up and learn to trust. He will be a loyal and loving companion with lots of purrs and head butts to offer for someone who is willing to show him he's safe and loved.

Gilligan has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Gilligan in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $165 ($300 for 2 Kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
