Gidget, her mom and sisters were trapped and rescued by WPR on June 13th, 2019, since they were living under a porch in NW Waverly. Gidget is now up to date on shots, spayed, and she also tested negative for FeLV / FIV.
Gidget is about 16 weeks old as of August 25th, 2019, born around 5/1/19. Her foster home and other volunteers have worked diligently having blanket wrap sessions for taming and cuddling. After being in a foster home for 2 months, Gidget is very social and occasionally will scared if someone tries to grab hold of her. She’s ok with being picked up, and often asks to be picked up. She loves to be petted when she is snuggly she really does enjoy being loved on, especially when wrapped in a blanket. She is very explorative and playful. Teeya loves to play with her sisters of course, but with proper introductions she does fine with other cats. Best if she has a playmate and another cat around would help her to overcome her shyness. So she must be adopted in a home with one or both of her sisters, or into a home that already has a young playful cat she can play and bond with.
She is looking for a loving forever home who will give her all the love she needs.
The three sisters are: Pixie, Gidget, and Teeya.
Will someone please adopt Gidget and give her a forever home? $95 adoption fee.
WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com
All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
