Gerhardt's Story
Meet Gerhardt - the Shy Silver Panther With a Soft Heart

Gerhardt came to us from a hoarding situation, underweight and very scared, but he's blossomed into a sleek little silver panther in his foster home. He's still naturally shy, yet he's discovered that occasional voluntary lap time is pretty wonderful-and he's just as happy stretching out right beside you.

He has plenty of kitten energy and loves anything that moves. He's still learning not to chase toes or treat hands like toys, so he'll need a patient adopter who can gently guide him as he grows.

Gerhardt is currently living with dogs and would likely do well with a calm dog who gives him space. He'd thrive best in a quieter home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. This sweet boy is still a work in progress, but watching him mature into the loving, secure cat he's meant to be will be incredibly rewarding.

If you're ready to help a shy, gentle soul blossom, Gerhardt might be the perfect match.

All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats
