Meet George and Tracy

If you’re considering adding a new furry friend to your life, we’re hear to suggest that you instead add two! We’re George (shorthair) and Tracy (longhair), two brothers who have been bonded since birth, and we’re hoping to bring that same love into your home.

We truly offer something for every cat lover: George is the feisty free spirit who secretly adores being pet and held, but strictly on his own terms. Tracy is the aloof pretty-boy dreamer who loves hangin’ out. Both of us will crawl onto your lap once we, y’know, get to know you on that kind of level. We make a fearsome team when it comes to playing and will get after any sort of toy, string or laser pointer you happen to bring home.

But have no fear that our rambunctiousness gets out of hand! When we do have disagreements, we sort them out pretty dang quickly. We spend way more time simultaneously licking each other’s faces than we do debating about politics or the best flavor of wet food. Neither of us are particularly chatty - we’re not the kind to mince words, and usually make our point that the food bowl is devastatingly empty very succinctly and to-the-point. George will cry if he’s somehow lost his brother and Tracy isn’t texting him back fast enough, but Tracy will run and find George if he starts crying. Tracy came with a bell and we think it’s to help George know where he is.

We need at least one meal a day with a high moisture content and we prefer chunky fish. Our foster parents will say “they act like they’re picky if they don’t like it but they’ll eat whatever if you leave it in the bowl for a few minutes,” but you really shouldn’t listen to them.

We’re excellent at only scratching our designated scratching posts and learn quickly when we get reprimanded by clapping and rewarded when we’re successfully redirected. We are completely litter box trained.

We have no idea if we’ll get along well with other cats or dogs. We’re shy around strangers but will still sit on them after they fall asleep. We’ll probably just steer clear of children trying to mess with us, but George might be a little quicker to set boundaries with a hiss or a swipe. Our last owner passed away so our history is a mystery, but we’re super looking forward to meeting you!
