Meet George
George is an 8 year old cat who was front declawed before he came Into HART's care. George has lived most of his life with his former owner who rescued him when he was quite young. As his owner aged, she became a bit of a hoarder, filling her small apartment with numerous places for George to hide. When his owner was no longer able to care for him, HART stepped in to provide him with a safe place to live on his path to adoption....or at least that was our intent.....
George was a bit elusive and quite proficient at playing "hide and seek"! After setting numerous traps, and consulting with an expert or two on the art of capturing a crafty cat (which involved a chase through a parking lot by a frantic HART volunteer,,,,) George was secured and back on that path to adoption!
George is now getting comfortable in his new space. He is the perfect cat for someone who appreciates a kitty with a bit of an attitude and a good story to tell!
