Meet Gemma
Gemma
Est. DOB 5/2022
Adoption fee: $225
Gemma was rescued along with her mom & brother after they were found abandoned and living under an apartment building. She quickly began showing symptoms of FIP (feline infectious peritonitis)—neurological issues that affected her walking abilities, as well as rapid weight loss and loss of appetite. After very expensive treatment that included 84 days of treatment and 84 days of observation, Gemma is CURED and is ready to find a home!
Gemma is a sweet and sassy girl! She is spunky and has a big personality, but is also affectionate and loves people. Her fur is SOOO soft but she’s not a shedder-must be a breed trait. She’ll be the first to greet you at the door and loves pets & head rubs, but prefers not to be held.
Gemma gets along great with other cats and really enjoys their company. She doesn’t like to wrestle, but enjoys a game of chase and playing with toys. She would like to go to a home with a resident cat that is willing to groom her, as that is how she typically falls asleep each night. This gal would do best in a home with adults and teenagers (no young children), as she can be nippy (gently) if her boundaries are pushed too much.
The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org.
All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped.
We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, have a goodie bag with toys and coupons for Petsmart along with other complimentary items.
We offer free nail trimmings for life for not only your adopted Lapcats cat but any cat in your household too!
