Hi my name is Gelato! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Gelato is very nervous in the shelter environment, so it has been difficult to get an accurate read on who he really is. His previous owner described him as gentle, active, friendly, talkative, affectionate, and playful.
-Can Live with Cats: He might do okay with another cat if given a slow, proper introduction. He lived with 3 other cats in his previous home, and reportedly tried to engage them in play, but it always escalated into fights. He might be best with younger cats who will reciprocate his play!
-Can Live with Dogs: No, he is afraid of dogs.
-Can Live with Kids: Calm, respectful kids aged 12+
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes, he has been indoors his whole life.
-History of Litter Box Issues: Yes, previous home reported he missed the litter box a few times when he first came home. After he adjusted to the home there were no issues. There have been no issues at the shelter but we are recommending using Cat Attract litter for about three months when he first goes into his new home!
-Energy Level: Low/medium
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a dental.
Additional Information: Gelato is a sweet, older gentleman looking for a lowkey home without a lot of traffic. He seems to be pretty nervous in new situations, and will likely need a longer adjustment period to feel comfortable in his new home. Gelato is sensitive to the shelter environment and has a hard time opening up and showing his true personality, but give him a chance to trust you and he'll be your best bud for life!
