Hey there, I’m Ganymede! I’ve got on my classiest tuxedo, just in case I get an invitation to a dinner party at your house. Or a lunch party. Or brunch? My love language is FOOD in case you couldn’t tell, and if you’re looking for a kitty friend who will always be over the moon when you offer them a treat, I’ll be the first in line! I might even help you with chores…like cleaning the dishes in the sink after you eat dinner. (You’re welcome!)

I’m only 1.5 years old, but I’m as easygoing and laid-back as an older cat—no shredding your curtains for me! I’m a curious guy and like to play with other cats, or kick around a toy here and there, but mostly I prefer to lounge someplace where I can survey everything that happens in my own little kingdom.

I can be shy at first with new people, but I’m open to being bribed with snacks. …very open. Especially if you had some churu you wanted to share? Once I know you’re the kind of wonderful person who brings me SNACKS, I’ll be your BFF. I always like to be near my people, so maybe we could both relax on the couch watching TV sometimes, or you could put a kitty bed near your computer chair and I could keep you company?

I didn’t have good experiences with humans when I was a baby, and things like being picked up are still pretty scary for me, but I’m rather intrigued by the idea of becoming a lap cat someday. Maybe there is someone out there who will take it slow with me and let me try out their lap at my own pace?

When I was a kitten, I came to RCR with one eye completely white like a full moon, so the people here named me after a moon. Then I amazed everyone by getting completely better, and now I get to show off my two beautiful, healthy golden eyes! I’m healthy, neutered, and up to date on my shots. I would be fine in a home with or without other cat siblings, and dogs and kids are fine by me so long as they’re gentle and respectful.
