Fuzzball Domestic Long Hair Mix Minneapolis, MN

Hi! I am Fuzzball! I am 14.5 years old. I am front declawed, litter box trained, and up to date on all vetting. I just went to the vet and she said I am a healthy kitty!

My family had to move to another country to take care of relatives. It was very hard for them, but due to government restrictions, I was not allowed to come with them, and they had to leave me behind. This has been very sad and scary for me. I had lived with them since I was a kitten, so to suddenly be without them and in a new place was terrifying for me. I didn’t understand why they were gone or what was happening.

I am looking for a new forever home. I really want a family to call my own again. I’d love to find someone who understands that I will start off extremely shy. I will probably hide…maybe for quite a bit…so I will need my own safe space that I can decompress in. It will take me some time to trust again, but once I feel like I am safe with you, I will be a great kitty. I am pretty low-key, but occasionally I do like to play with catnip mice and bat around something on a string. I'm not one of those cats that will wake you up at 3:00 AM by running around crazily or attacking your feet though. I love to get a treat (I am especially partial to a little bit of deli ham). I’m not much of a lap cat as I like a little space, but I really just love to sit by my trusted human and be near to them. I like to watch what they are doing and to occasionally 'bonk' them so they remember I am there and want to be pet. I also love to snuggle my trusted human at bedtime!

I would like to have a quiet house because I’m kind of a quiet kitty. I startle easily at unexpected or loud noises and movements. Because of this, I would do best in a house that doesn’t have little kids. I also would really like to have all of your love and attention, so I’d do best in a house with no other pets.
