Frito (small buff kitty pictured in the photos) entered the shelter at the end of October 2024, along with siblings Inky & Boo. All siblings were found dumped outside our building on a chilly Sunday afternoon. No carrier, no box, just left to fend for themselves along busy Reading Road. One of our volunteers happened to come in to the shelter early for her shift and found them huddled together against our doorway.
We have worked extensively between our volunteers and foster families to socialize and acclimate these siblings. As you can imagine, they were distrustful and afraid of their new surroundings. I think we’ve made great progress but they are still “the shy ones” who are going to need a little extra patience. They will do better in a quiet household and we would not recommend a home with small children.

**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.
