Meet French Fry & Milkshake

Shake Shake Shake Senora, Shake your body line! We would like to introduce Milkshake and French Fry! NALA Rescue has been working on TNR-ing a property outside of Fort Calhoun, NE for a while now.

A couple of months ago, we found Milkshake. She is a super sweet girl, about 5 months old now, A little wobbly, walks up steps backwards, and has a purr that never stops.

One Month ago, we found Little French Fry!!! He Wobbles much more than Milkshake, but can scale a cat tower at lightening speed! French Fry is approximately 9 weeks old, and loves everyone.

During the course of our TNR-ing, we have only found two kittens..... Milkshake and French Fry. This is not a Mother/son situation, this is just two separate kittens that were born in the same colony and survived.

NALA Rescue has performed multiple blood tests, serum panels, viral screens, radiographs, etc. on both of these cuties. We cannot find a reason as to why "they are the way they are".

Milkshake survived her spay surgery with flying colors, received a full series of vaccinations, and doesn't have any parasites living in or on her. French Fry is too young to neuter right now. However, he has a clean bill of health otherwise and has completed the same tests his colony friend has. If Milkshake can handle anesthesia, together these two can handle the world!

Both of these nuggets are wobbly, they have limited vision, and they need a very special, patient, and understanding home. They always find the litter box.... sometimes they faceplant inside the litter box... but they always find it. Our Veterinary Partners have concluded that this is either a case of a rogue virus hitting the colony, or massive inbreeding.

We are protective of all of our animals, please know that we are very protective of our vulnerable and special needs animals. If you feel you have the best home for them, please visit our website and complete an adoption application!
