Fozzie ... Orange/Red Tabby Domestic medium hair neutered male; approx. 7-8 months old as of Jan. 2016

Fozzie came off a rural property in Grundy County, on Hwy 14 between Hwy 20 and Parkersburg, in mid-January during that EXTREME frigid weather we experienced for a period of time.

Fozzie is an adorable PLUSH kitten with fur so soft and snuggly, you just want to set there and hold him and pet him all day long!

Fozzie's coat is a beautiful Red/Orange and his eyes are copper gold - so beautiful! He's the most skittish of the kittens, but he's made great progress since we caught him, and we have no doubt he will be a lovable and friendly little guy once he learns he is loved and safe in his new home!

UPDATE 4/7/16... Fozzie loves treats! He'll turn himself inside out for a treat - LOL! He is a goofy boy and he's really becoming a sweetheart. He may not be a kitty that wants cuddled up close, but he loves to be petted and he gets along with other kitties, and he cuddles with them all the time. He has really come around since being rescued, and for a kitten who was as old as he was when trapped, he's made remarkable progress!

12/2/16 UPDATE: He is a sweet boy, although shy - he has come a long ways since being rescued. He is great with adult cats, and loves to greet any newcomers and rub up against them. He is fabulous with kittens and loves to bathe them! He can be held, but prefers to just be with you and not necessarily on your lap. He loves to give you head butts and be petted! He will need to be set up in one room in your home so that he can settle in there and feel safe. Once he warms up and bonds with you, then you can have him out in the rest of the house. He would be best adopted along with another cat or kitten, or into a home that already has a cat or kitten. He loves his kitty friends a lot! Best in a home with no children.

Fozzie has a female friend from the same property named Daisy if anyone would like to adopt 2 kitties. She is very very shy. Her profile is online for more info about her.

Fozzie's adoption fee is $95.00 adoption fee. He was neutered on 1/27/16; tested neg. for FeLK/FIV; has been given two FVRCP vaccinations and rabies vaccinations; received a Revolution parasite treatment, and was treated for an Upper Respiratory Illness when he first arrived.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
