Meet Foster Kittens
Thank you for your interest in foster kittens!
Kittens who are in our foster care program are generally kittens who arrived at the humane society as unweaned orphans , were still nursing, or were not old or big enough to be placed up for adoption. These kittens would not have survived in a stressful shelter environment. Our foster care program provides care and comfort for animals with special needs in private homes of our trained volunteer foster care providers.
Once the kittens are old enough (usually 6-8 weeks) and weigh enough to be spayed or neutered (2 lbs), they return to the shelter for adoption. Call the shelter at (360) 733-2080 to inquire about available kittens.
Please note that we do not place “holds” on animals until you’ve met them in person, even if you’ve filled out an application and expressed interest in a specific animal. This is because we want to ensure that each animal is a good fit for the interested party, and that the interested party is a good fit for the animal. We try to set each adoption up for success, for both the animals and for the people.
The kittens would love to meet you! Do you feel the same? Please fill out an adoption application (here or at either shelter) and turn it in to Gemma Woodhouse, the foster care coordinator via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or fax it to 360.733.4746. Our adoption counselors will help you figure out if you're right for each other.
