Meet Fonzie
?FONZIE is a Miracle Kitten...
with more chutzpah "hootspa" (pardon my Yiddish) than his TV namesake.?
Several days after Christmas, he was taken to NY Veterinary Specialists ER on Rt. 110 after this tiny cutie was most likely Hit by a Car in Wyandanch. He had extensive injuries.
FONZIE was 2.5 lbs at the time. He was signed over to Babylon Town Shelter, and the shelter director OKed his medical expenditures even before anyone knew how incredible this
tiny treasure is.
FONZIE had:
*lip lacerations stitched twice.
* his top & bottom jaw fractures repaired with separate wiring.
* his ruptured spleen removed.
* his fractured ribs shaved down.
* an abdominal wall hernia caused by trauma repaired.
Then FONZIE went to Babylon Shelter 's medical room to recover. What a little dynamo!
FONZIE has been on a canned food diet because of his wired jaw & a few meds to help him recuperate...but his healing has been remarkable; nothing is holding him back from talking in his squeaky voice, purring, cuddling and zooming when free of his hospital cage.
The FONZ got his jaw wire removed, neuter & microchip on Monday at the specialists during the snowstorm. (The top wire may be permanent. )
He moved to Last Hope the next day with the promise we'd find the FONZ the Best of FOREVER HOMES.
FONZIE is a PURRSONALITY Plus 4 month old white & tabby feline celebrity with adorable ear tufts...can't say enough good about this little guy with such a Zest for Life & Love.
Also Can't say enough good about his Babylon Shelter caretakers & fans who have done so much to help FONZIE thrive, even back when we thought he was a girl. But that is a story for another day.
