Are you looking for a cat that will nestle in your lap all day long? This gentle guy was named after the band, Fleetwood Mac, since his rescuers were surely singing when they finally saved him. Volunteers were out walking when they spotted Fleetwood, who was in a perilous situation. This stately, handsome orange and white boy was sharing his time between an abandoned house and the streets, where he was fighting for territory and food. He was so frightened it took his saviors four days to catch him, and when they were finally able take a good look at him they discovered he was ravaged with bite wounds and sores. We were not surprised to find out he tested FIV positive upon his emergency vet visit, since an attack from an infected cat is how the condition is transmitted. Fleetwood, however, is not a fighter and FIV is highly manageable with attentive vet care. This guy’s life has completely turned around and he now enjoys the comforts and safety of soft fluffy beds to lie in, food whenever he is hungry (plus some canned food treats), and the gentle pets of our volunteers who just adore him. He loves other cats and people and he has settled into his room like he has lived there his whole life. You know he understands he is safe and sound, as he looks you right in the eye with his sincere gaze and gulps in the attention. We are 100% certain that he will light up a room in a home, and you will hear the songs he sings with purrs of happiness!

All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision.
