Despite being an adorable girl with a sweet nature, Flanksteak has waited a long time to find her forever family. Please consider making her dreams of a loving home come true.

Flanksteak is part of a litter of nearly identical tabbies born in a woods-like setting behind a steakhouse in Indiana. Though initially raised by highly trained waitstaff on customary gourmet scraps of prime and surf, she would gladly trade up to consistent indoor living with a loving family who will give her plenty of pets and treats! Flanksteak was the last of her litter to be rescued, surviving on her own during a 100-degree heat wave! She was a little yapper when she was transported to her foster home, and she was also the most scared. Despite all this, she has proven to have grown the most in confidence and is drastically more social, letting her fosters pet her and pick her up for snuggles and kisses every now and then. With that said, she is now more than ready to find a loving forever home.

Why still initially shy at times, Flanksteak’s reserved nature is offset by her nightly nose-to-nose nuzzling that she enjoys with her trusted human, especially after dinner and late-night snacks. She is often seen chasing her brothers and sisters around the halls when she’s not napping or watching for birds in the outside catio. Flanksteak will certainly get along well with other kitties, but she would do best with older, gentle children who are more mindful of her personal space. She has lived with a large energetic dog in her foster home who has become accustomed to Flanksteak’s boundaries. She is going to be a sweet and gentle companion to a lucky adopter.
