Meet Fiona!
Fiona came to us when she was found outdoors and pregnant. She is an approximately 1 to 2 year-old female domestic shorthair. She is a gorgeous tortoiseshell with a lovely shiny coat.

We named her Fiona, but she really should be called “Queen Nefertiti”. She has the grace and style of an Egyptian queen. Her every motion is smooth and elegant. She is a master acrobat, and there is not a door handle she cannot conquer. Fiona carries herself quite proudly.

And proud she should be. She has been an excellent mother to her four adorable babies, always letting them eat first and making sure they are safely nearby. She has trained them well, literally nipping any unruly behavior in the bud.

Fiona has been a great momma, but she should now enjoy being a young cat. She loves to be petted and yearns to be a lap cat without being interrupted by a feisty kitten. She enjoys playing with different toys, but again, she has deferred her playtime to her babies. A chance to just be herself would be a wonderful gift and a delightful addition to any home.

She does great around children, and she is happy to be held by even the youngest child. She was not a fan of our resident cat (and vice versa) but that might have been due to her protective mother instincts. She may do fine with another friendly cat.
